The Challenge:

Before turning to CSL, the client’s Salesforce setup was facing a few key issues that made everyday operations challenging:

1. Unstructured Target Tracking:

There was no reliable system in place to track sales targets for individuals or teams. Monthly targets for new sales or expansions had to be entered manually, often leading to duplication or errors.

Custom objects like Team, User Target, and Target Logs were not linked properly. When one field was updated, others wouldn’t sync, making it hard to keep data accurate and consistent.


3. Complicated Case Submissions:

Customers found it hard to submit support requests from the client’s website, especially when they needed to attach images. The process often failed because of missing fields or file upload issues.


4. Lack of Duplicate Control:

There was no system in place to stop users from creating duplicate Team Target records for the same type and month. This led to confusion and inaccurate reports.


5. Weak Reporting Capabilities:

Management struggled to get clear insights into team performance over time. Reports lacked logic for comparison and made leadership dashboards unreliable.

1. Automated Target Management:

Custom objects were structured to track performance, including Team, User Target, and Target Log. Whenever a sales opportunity is closed, Salesforce Flows automatically updates the relevant targets, making the data live and reliable.

2. Duplicate Entry Prevention:

Logic was built to restrict duplicate records. Now, only one record of each target type can be created per month, keeping reporting clean and error-free.


3. Web-to-Case with Image Upload:

A new web-to-case form was developed where users can now submit support requests directly from the client website, including file uploads like images. Behind the scenes, a connected app and custom flow handle everything smoothly and securely.

4. Smart Field Validation & Ownership Assignment:

To reduce form errors, required field validations now happen at the layout level with friendly error messages. When customers reply, ownership of the case is automatically reassigned, making follow-ups seamless.

5. Leadership Dashboards & Reports:

Advanced dashboards now show monthly targets vs achievements, team-wise progress, and year-on-year comparisons. Managers get complete visibility into performance at a single glance.
